16cm empire shade in orange and raspberry slub silk

Like the last embers of a summer sunset, this glorious slub silk glows in layers of orange, coral and juicy raspberry. These shades are made from Tussah silk, often called 'wild silk' or Bhagalpur silk, woven in the traditional Indian style. Produced by wild Antheraea silkworms, Tussah has a naturally thicker, more characterful handle than cultivated silk, along with a beautiful golden sheen that seems to glow from within. It’s prized for its unique, uneven texture – those charming slubs and irregularities that come from the hand-weaving process and give the fabric its unmistakable depth and soul.
